Thank you all for your ongoing interest in the ASD-EAST project!

It has been a strange few months since our last newsletter, but also an incredibly productive time. Having found out that we could not hold ‘real life’ conferences, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the partnership worked very hard to develop four virtual ASD-EAST conferences to deliver the project as planned. These four conferences – in English, Croatian, Macedonian and Polish – were available for people to ‘attend’ from Monday 8 June through to Friday 3 July. During this period, 1,334 people from over 20 different countries around the world visited the conference and learned about our work. Thank you so much to those involved for all of the hard work you put into making the conferences such a success.

Thank you also to everyone involved in the development of the policy documents. As you’ll read elsewhere in this newsletter, this document – and the accompanying video – were made available for the conference and have also been shared with policy makers at round table meetings in the project countries. Thanks to all at Autism Europe for your hard work on this.

Finally, thank you to everyone for the continuing work being undertaken on finalising, refining and translating the project materials so they are ready for submission to the project funder. We really appreciate all the work you have done, and the feedback we’ve been receiving from conference attendees and via the round tables has all been so positive.
